San Ramon, also known as Tree City USA, is a suburb of San Francisco in Contra Costa County. It is home to several large festivals such as the Art and Wind Festival, the Fourth of July Picnic, and the Primo’s Run for Education. Surrounded on three sides by wilderness parks, San Ramon offers many outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and camping. While most of the city is urbanized, its borders remain undeveloped and are covered by grasslands and oak tree orchards. San Ramon has big plans for a full downtown renovation and they are in the process of fundraising. Its school system is nationally recognized and the city provides many recreational activities for the youth.
